The histories of the Mutoid Waste Company and Santarcangelo di Romagna have become intertwined through the Mutonia art park, situated on the banks of the River Marecchia. Beginning with the manipulation of various symbols of identity, this public art installation explores the interplay between two worlds which, through their geographical proximity, have managed to forge a dialogue that has endured for more than thirty years.

The Mutoid community has thus been emblematically adopted by this area, just as the historical legacy handed down by these symbols has been projected into the future through a vision inspired by cyberpunk and critical of the excesses of consumerism typical of the Mutoid philosophy.

Work created in collaboration with Nikki Rifiutile Rodgerson and Josie Joko Pierce.
